Hotel Review: Impiana Villas Seminyak, Bali

Hotel Review: Impiana Villas Seminyak, Bali

Deciding which villa to book for your next holiday in Bali can be tough. There are literally hundreds to choose from, and many with very similar names. Seminyak Bali is the Villa Mecca, so if you’re looking for a spot of relaxation, spa treatments and great shopping, look no further than setting up camp in a luxurious private villa.

Impiana Villas Seminyak was our destination of choice for a short 2-night stay in Seminyak, Bali. We had two 3 bedroom villas booked, right next to each other, as there was 10 of us travelling. Impiana Villas Seminyak used to be called “The Villas Seminyak”. You may find both names being used on booking engines.

Impiana Villas Seminyak layout

There are two areas to Impiana Villas Seminyak.

One area is near the Bali Deli. Which is a fantastic upmarket supermarket. They stock fresh meats, cheese, fruit and vegetables.  They also import some food from Australia and the US, perfect for guests wanting to cook in the villa themselves.

The other is near Sunset Road.

When booking your villa, you can put in the request for either location but there is little difference between to two sides.

The Sunset Road villas are newer, but in all honesty, you wouldn’t notice. They are in the same style, with the same furnishings and of the same quality as the “older section”.  The Sunset location has a 7-11 nearby and is just 200 meters from the restaurants and shopping areas.

All up, there are 50 villas spread over both properties, made up of 1 bedroom pool villas, 2 bedroom pool villas, and the gorgeous 3 bedroom pool villas.

We stayed in the older area and loved it. There was the added benefit of having the Day Spas and the hotel restaurant just next door too.

Prana day spa at Impiana Villas Seminyak

The villas are home to a fantastic day spa called Prana.

Prana Spa is a large treatment centre offering manicures and pedicures, along with facials and full-body massages. Couples are looked after with several massage therapy options, the most opulent of them all, a session in the private suite!

I was treated to a 60minute facial at Prana. Several product options are available, Pevonia, Elemis, and a local natural product. Since I was in Indonesia, I went local. It was fabulous!

The decor in Prana Spa is Middle Eastern with an exotic twist. Luscious dark fabrics and low lighting set the mood with intricate mosaic tiling on the floors.

Three bedroom Villa

Impiana Villas Seminyak was our home for 2 nights. The three-bedroom villa did not disappoint.

High concrete walls surround each villa complex, with large doors leading into the luscious gardens. A Villa in Seminyak really is your own private haven, you can relax poolside all day, and have drinks and food delivered to you without having to put shoes on. Bliss.

Families will love that the pool has two levels. One-third of the pool is less than a foot deep. This is perfect for wading in, or for little ones to sit and cool down safely. The rest of the swimming pool is a standard deep pool- your teens will love knowing they can bomb safely in the deep end, as it comes in over 2meters deep!

Bathroom Amenities

Each room has its own private bathroom complete with a shower and in some cases, a bath.

Something to note, if you are a fan of collecting hotel amenities, you are not able to do so at Impiana Villas Seminyak. You are able to purchase them if you wish but to cut down on waste and plastic, the hotel makes use of ceramic refillable containers.

My favourite part of the bathroom was the flooring. Large flat concrete tiles were spaced out, with small round pebbles surrounding them. I felt like I was living in a jungle!

Our room also had a full spa bath, with one side “open”. There was no roof, but a slatted wall with the garden right behind it. A semi-outdoor bathroom was the ultimate Bali experience!

Impiana Villas review

This was my first experience in Bali. And I have to say, the Impiana villas Seminyak is certainly a fantastic choice!!

I was able to inspect the 1 and 2br villas too, and they were much the same as our 3br villa, only smaller. The tranquillity you experience as soon as you step into your villa is amazing. If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday or a holiday with a large group of friends, a family get together or an intimate honeymoon, check out the Villas Seminyak… Room service, a private bartender, in-house massages and spa treatments, babysitting services and the most amazing in-house cooked breakfast… you can’t beat that!

While we are at it, think about who you want to book your flights with… I have an honest review of Tiger airlines here to check out.

A word of warning, villas can vary greatly. Many advertised online are privately owned and not operated to regular tourism standards. They may be misrepresented and you could arrive disappointed. Please research your villa options to ensure you have the quality experience you are looking for… Or just book with Impiana Villas 😉
